ALTAR FLOWERS: The Flowers on the Altar Donated by: Dr. Walt & Conchita Bowers In Honor of their Anniversary. Dates are still available for the months of: October 9th & 16th, November 20th & 27th and December 4th. Please see Karen Brentley if you are interested in any of this dates.

FOOD PANTRY: For the Month of August, please donate Boxed Jell-O & Tuna. Thank you for your continued support of this ministry.

VOLUNTEER POSITION: New Vision the church is in need of a volunteer to come answer the phones Mon- Fri from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. thank you, Pastor Nance.

WOMEN OF VISION:  Will meet Saturday, September 3, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The feature presentation will be given by Diane Robertson and Elaine Hubbard. The topic will be Esther’s Strength. Please bring a young girl with you to learn along with us, a light lunch will be served. We need personal hygiene items for the summer outreach project for the Women of Vision. All items need to be turned in by the deadline date of September 17th. Shampoo, soap, socks, Vaseline, deodorant, toothpaste, tooth brushes, body lotion and chap sticks. We are partnering with WACF Singles’ ministry to assist the people in Lee and Owsley Counties, the poorest counties in Kentucky. Donations may be made also, to purchase these items. Please turn in items to the following: Bonita Barnes, Tamela Black, Virginia Hardin or Elaine Hubbard.

NEW VISION CHOIR: Please join for our Development Workshop facilitated by Eric Oliver, Minister of Music at Zion Baptist Church. The focus theme is UNDERSTANDING YOU AND THE CHOIR MINISTRY. The dates are September 9-10. We will begin from 6-9 pm. on September 9 from 9-3 and will conclude on September 10th from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. All are welcome to participate whether you are currently in the choir or not. For dues paid choir members, registration is no charge. For all others, registration is $ 10. There will be light refreshments served on both days. BLACK COLLEGE FAIR: The Historically Black College Fair will take place on Saturday, September 24, 2016 from 12:00 noon – 4:00 p.m. at Tryed Stone New Beginning church, 5550 Reading Road 45237. There will be a Financial Aid Workshop from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. The fair is presented by the Cincinnati Association of Black University and College Alumni (CABUCA).

UNITED METHODIST WOMEN: The UMW invite New Vision to attend Ohio River Valley UMW Annual Day, “ A Racial Justice Event” on September 24, 2016, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm @ Gaines UMC. The keynote speaker will be Rev. Don Wilson. Registration is $10.00. Lunch and a Continental Breakfast are included. Everyone is invited. If you are interested in attending please contact Geraldine Calmeise for details and to pay your registration. Deadline for registration is September 16, 2016.
