HALLEBRATION:  There are applications available at the Welcome Center for anyone who might be interested in getting one.

Residents of Bond Hill/Roselawn  We are seeking some residents of Bond Hill/Roselawn to participate in the Council meetings that are held monthly for the joint Roselawn/Bond Hill communities.  New Vision wants to stay better connected to the work that is going on in our neighboring communities.  If you have the ability and interest to do this, please contact either Kathye Lewis Norman or Karen Brentley.  We want to have a team of people who can provide coverage and can keep the Leadership Team informed. Thanks for your consideration.

Please remember to call the church and let us know if your loved one has passed.  If you do not tell us, we probably won’t know.

MARKETING INFORMATION FOR FACEBOOK AND THE NEW VISION WEBSITE:

Please contact Kathye Lewis Norman to submit your information for marketing your church event on FB and the church website.  You will need to submit a file via email to kathye.lewis@fuse.net in a JPG or PNG file.  This will be posted to FB and the website.  You need to send this information as early as possible.  Preferably 4 weeks in advance for smaller events.  It will be longer for larger events. Copies can be made for fliers by submitting to the church secretary.  Please contact Catherine Harris with any questions and provide enough lead time.  Thank you.

WHO IS MY NEIGHBOR?   VBS is fast approaching.  Look for registration forms at the WELCOME DESK.  Grades K thru 6 are welcome.  Volunteers will be needed each day.  So bring a young person and come and see “WHO IS YOUR NEIGHBOR?”  July 22 – 25, 2019.  From 6 – 8 pm here at New Vision.

EVANGELISM will be having a WOW this Wednesday July 24th from 4-6 P.M. Please come out and help us serve our community with food and prayers.   We will have our prayer warriors available for those who are in need of prayer.  We need your support in showing our neighbors our racial hospitality.  If it rains we will postpone until another time. Thank you for your support Bonita Team leader.

A STEWARDSHIP MOMENT

CELEBRATING THE OFFERING IS A SPIRITUAL ACT OF WORSHIP EVERY BELIEVER CAN Actively PARTICIPATE IN EACH WEEK.   GIVING BECOMES A CELEBRATION WHEN THE BELIEVER DISCOVERS THE JOY OF GENEROSITY WHICH GROWS OUT OF GOD’S GRACE.  THIS IS A QUOTE BY “MELVIN AMERSON: CELEBRATING THE OFFERING”   TO BELONG TO OUR CONGREGATION IS TO BE A STEWARD. SOME MAY SAY THAT “STEWARDSHIP IS JUST A POLITE WAY OF REFERRING TO FINANCIAL GIVING TO THE CHURCH, BUT IT IS MORE THAN THAT.  ONE CHARACTER IN SOME OF JESUS’ PARABLES IS THE STEWARD- THE STEWARD CHARGED BY THE MASTER TO CARE FOR THE MASTER’S PROPERTY.  IT IS THE MASTER NOT THE STEWARD WHO OWNS THE PROPERTY. BUT THE STEWARD IS RESPONSIBLE FOR IT AND IS ACCOUNTABLE  TO THE MASTER AS  GOD’S  STEWARDS,  WE HAVE 3 RESPONSIBILITIES;

1.       RECEIVING  WE RECEIVE WITH JOYFUL THANKSGIVING THE MANY GIFTS THAT GOD SHOWERS UPON US: TIME, TALENTS, TREASURES,  AND RESOURCES

WE’VE BEEN GIVEN SO MUCH AT NO COST, YET WE STRUGGLE TO GIVE LIBERALLY.  OUR SELFISH  NATURE WANTS TO KEEP WHAT WE HAVE

2.       MANAGING- WE TAKE GOOD CARE OF WHAT WE HAVE RECEIVED, WE MANAGE THESE RESOURCES WISELY FOR OUR GOOD AND THE GOOD OF OTHERS

3.       GIVING: OUT OF GRATITUDE IN RECEIVING SO ABUNDANTLY, WE WANT TO SHARE WITH OTHERS, PROVIDING GOD WITH OPPORTUNITIES TO BLESS US AS WE SHARE WITH OTHERS.

BEING A GENEROUS PERSON REQUIRES A HEART THAT LOVES THE LORD ABOVE ALL ELSE, A WILL THAT IS SUBMITTED TO HIM, AND A MIND THAT DESIRES TO OBEY HIS COMMANDS.  THE LORD LOVES A CHEERFUL GIVER.  WHICH ULTIMATELY REFLECTS ON US AS BEING GOOD STEWARD.
