Altar Flowers Donated by Altar Guild

Thank You: My family and I will always remember the kindness and support shown by my New Vision Family. To the ones who made an effort to stop by and speak to me and give words of encouragement on Sundays, I thank you. To the ones who called, sent cards, visited and kept me in your prayers, I thank you. The warm Reception last Sunday warmed my heart. I thank you. As I enter another chapter in my life, please continue to pray for me. We pray God’s awesome blessings be upon you as New Vision will always have a special place in our hearts.   Mrs. Ida M Wells 10531 Rothwell Drive Saint Louis, MO 63136 314-869-2440.

SAVE THE DATE!  The Ministerial Recruitment Institute, or MRI, is a weeklong spiritual retreat within the East Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church for youth ages 12-18.   This institute, held each summer since its inception in 1982, is the result of a vision from God through our late Bishop James S. Thomas.  Its goal: to create a space and an environment conducive to allowing young people to hear, question, consider, struggle, and respond to God’s call and claim on their lives to become true Christian disciples, leaders, ministers, pastors and evangelists.  With the aid of Christian adult mentors, teachers, pastors and other staff working with and residing on campus with the youth, MRI becomes a community of faith in a week’s time!  MRI is also a great form of evangelism for youth to be exposed to Christ and other young people who already know Him for themselves.  We live, sing, play, worship, study, pray, laugh and cry together that week, as we all are there to “leave each person, place and session better than we found them/it” under the divine hand of Almighty God.  This year’s MRI dates are: July 15-20, 2018.   The total cost for the week includes all meals, the banquet and dorm room is $180.  We are in the process of trying to raise scholarship funds for those who need it to be sure everyone who is interested can attend.  Please see Pastor Worthen or contact the office for applications.

FOOD PANTRYFor April please donate:  Ramen Noodles and Chicken Vienna.
