PREPARING FOR HOLY WEEK:   Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet.  I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.”  John 13:14-15 Today as we celebrate Palm Sunday, we will also begin our preparation for Holy Week by partaking in our second annual Foot Washing Service.  This biblical practice is one that reminds us of the importance of serving one another.  We invite everyone to participate in this sacred time.

RECEPTION:  Following service, join us to celebrate Mrs. Ida Wells with a reception.  Sister Wells will be leaving Cincinnati and returning to her home in St. Louis.

CHURCH CONFERENCE:  At approximately 1pm, (or a little earlier) there will be a Church Conference to vote the Pastor’s revised compensation package along with some other informational updates.  We encourage you to stay around to participate in this important meeting, which we anticipate not lasting more than 30 minutes.

GOOD FRIDAY:  Pastor Worthen has been invited back to speak one of the Seven Words of Freedom at the Freedom Center, Good Friday, March 30th from 6:30-8:30pm.  There is an incredible line up of anointed preachers that promise to make this a joyful and spirit-filled experience!  Don’t miss out on hearing through the proclaimed Word about Jesus’ last words from the cross, and God’s message to us as recipients of His grace and mercy.  What an opportunity to be in worship and fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Christ from all around the city.

We are looking excitedly forward to celebrating the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!  We’re starting early…

  • Join us for breakfast immediately following. If you have not RSVP’d for the breakfast, we encourage you to do so today, (form enclosed) in order to help us plan for the number of guests accordingly.
  • The youth are also excited to put on their Easter Program in their own special way. The youth program is to start at 9am, with breakfast/snack served between 9:40 and 10am.
  • Sing to the Lord, all the earth; proclaim his salvation day after day! 1 Chron 16:23 Our Resurrection Worship Celebration will be at 10am!
  • As a special celebration to top off the day, the children and youth are invited to participate in an Easter scavenger hunt immediately following service, to last no longer than 30 minutes. Parents are encouraged to join in!  Please plan to bring your child(ren) to participate in these exciting youth program activities.
