ATTENTION: As you are aware, UMC Food is preparing healthy meals from our kitchen. These meals are provided to youth in our neighborhood. Please do not consume or utilize any items that belong to UMC Food. Thank you, for your support of this ministry.
BIBLE STUDY: Bible study classes are suspended during the Christmas Season. Classes will resume in January 2016.
HEALTH & WELLNESS: There will be No blood pressure screenings for the month of December, however screenings will resume in January, 2016. Thank you, Conchita Bowers.
NEW VISION UMW: United Methodist Women will be meeting on Saturday, January 23, 2016. All women are to come out and fellowship with us.
FLOWERS FOR THE ALTAR: The Flower Calendar for 2016 will soon be available. The COST for the flowers will be $45.00. Help to beautify the altar by donating flowers for special occasions, or just because. Remember you can always share a Sunday and the cost with another person. Please see any member of the Altar Guild for more information.
FINANCE POSITIONS: If anyone in the church has experience with handling financial data (Treasurer) and reporting, bookkeeping, etc. please contact Kathye Lewis or Robert Chess. Thank you.
NEW VISION YOUTH: New Vison UMC Youth are collecting socks for the homeless. Please help fill up the blue barrel! If you have any questions please contact James Harris.
WIDOW’S MITE: Many people have asked if we were having the Widow’s mite campaign this year since they had been saving their coins. We are not doing the Widow’s Mite offering officially this year. If you have coins that you have been collecting, feel free to give a gift to the church by turning these in any time during December. We prefer that the coins be wrapped. This helps the counting team in their work. Thank you, Breakthrough Board of Directors.
NEW VISION’S CHOIR: The Christmas Program will be held on December 19, 2015 at 3:30 pm. All of the children and youth are invited to come out and be a part of the first rehearsal. Also, the committee is asking to have a Toy Drive for the Program and we are asking you to buy at least one toy or youth gift to present to Our Children after the program on the 19th please give all gifts or donations to Lynne Blalock or Cassandra Mills Thanking you in advance.
NANCE SENIOR CHRISTMAS PARTY: The Nance’s will have their Senior Christmas Party on December 19th from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm.
