BIBLE STUDY:  Thursday afternoon Bible Study has been moved to Tuesday afternoons at 11:30 and has resumed.  Come join us for a study on Spiritual Gifts on Thursday afternoons, and a new Bible Study on “prayer” on Tuesday evenings.

CHARGE CONFERENCE:  New Vision will be having their Annual Charge Conference on Sunday November, 19 immediately following service.  Please don’t miss out on this important meeting to plan and prepare for the coming year.  In preparation for the Charge Conference it is time to receive nominations for Leadership vacancies for 2018.  If you feel lead to serve or know someone who is, please submit their names no later than October 23 to Pastor Worthen, Charles Collins, Miriam Kinard, or Cynthia Lockhart.

WIDOW’S MITE GIVING: Please plan to participate in the Widow’s Mite Giving. The “Red Bag” coin collection will begin in November.  Save all of your loose change and place in the red bag.   Red bags will be available after the morning service the first Sunday in November. Coin wrappers will also be available if you prefer to roll your coins.  We will collect the red bags during the month of December.  If you have questions, please see Patricia Simmons or Sylvia Kennedy.

YOUTH LEADER VOLUNTEERS:  Anyone  who would like to be a youth leader to join our existing youth leaders build our youth program please see Pastor Worthen or Sis. Vanessa Bossard.

STUDYING TO SHOW OURSELVES APPROVED:   New Vision’s current insightful and inspiring Sunday School classes will continue to be offered on Sundays at 9am.  There is a sermon application session following worship led by Pastor Worthen.  This Bible Study/discussion will be based on the sermon and gives everyone an opportunity to be in dialogue with one another about the message and how God’s Word can be applied in our lives.  Everyone, members AND visitors are encouraged to participate in this time of fellowship and study, as it gives us an opportunity to ask questions, and to learn from and encourage one another.

MAKING A JOYFUL NOISE:  Have song suggestions?  Please submit song requests in writing in the suggestion box to the rear of the sanctuary.  It may take time to get the song in the rotation, but we will do our best to bring around your favorite songs to the glory of God!

FOR WHAT ARE WE KNOWN?  Jesus said: “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer.’”  New Vision is launching a drive-through prayer ministry soon!  Pastor Worthen would like to meet with all those who are interested in this ministry to meet with Pastor Worthen for 5 minutes to set up a date to meet.

It is time once again for the Urban League of Greater Southwestern Ohio’s annualEvening of Faith” concert. This inspirational event is a great way to fellowship as one community while also helping those who need a hand-up.  This year we are excited and pleased to present to you a dynamic platform of musical entertainment conducted by Ministers of Music from area churches. The musical extravaganza promises to be a one of a kind community celebration. The entertainment will appeal to all faiths in our community. Michael Cunningham-New Jerusalem Baptist Church, Dan Larkin – Southern Baptist Church, David Minor- Lincoln Heights Baptist Church, Everett Moore – Quinn Chapel AME, Rameco Lattimore and Judith A. Lee Lattimore – Inspirational Baptist, Deborah Shipps – Church of the Resurrection, These Ministers of Music will direct over 200 voices. Plus, the New Life Temple Praise and Worship team, the Inspirational Praise Dancers of Corinthian Baptist Church and an opera performance by Dominique Reeves. The League will host its 9th Annual “Evening of Faith” on Friday, November 10, 2017, 7:00 p.m. at Inspirational Baptist Church, 11450 Sebring Drive in Forest Park. YOUTH PROGRAM KICKOFF: We are phasing in each youth division starting with Children’s Church. Beginning November 12th, all children under the age of 8 will be dismissed from service right after offering. All children who remain in service will receive an in-service packet to enjoy.  On November 26th, Sunday school for 9 through 12 year olds and high school aged youth immediately after service.  December 3rd will be our official youth kick off with our youth game night immediately after service, food and fun will be served.  If you would like your child or high school aged youth to be a part of the youth program please fill out the youth program participation form (Back table in sanctuary) and place completed forms inside youth folder. This allows for an accurate count for planning.

VENDERS FOR HALLE-BRATION 2017 Halle-Bration will be held on December 9 from 10 am -4 pm and vendor information is now available at the Welcome Center Desk.  If you are a vendor or service business, or know of one that is looking to develop new customers, please tell them to complete the application and return it to New Vision with their payment.  The instructions are on the application.  Help us to make this an even bigger and better event this year.  Thank you.   Miriam Kinard and Kathye Lewis.
